The skin should be clean and free of makeup prior to the treatment. Avoid using retinoids, AHA/BHA acids, and exfoliating products 3–5 days before the procedure to prevent sensitivity. Exposure to direct sunlight, tanning beds, or saunas immediately before the therapy is not recommended.
