FOTONA DYNAMIS NX
The Fotona Dynamis laser allows us to treat patients who not only want to get rid of mild and moderate acne lesions, but are also struggling with serious cystic acne problems. The Fotona Dynamis laser beam targets Propionibacterium acnes – the bacterium that causes inflammatory acne. The porphyrins released by the bacteria absorb the energy and are then destroyed by the radiation. As a result, the sebaceous glands in the skin are selectively eliminated and remodelled, eventually returning to their original form. In addition, we achieve the desired effects of tightening the pores and regulating sebum.
How does the procedure work?
Laser treatment of acne lesions is a procedure that requires no anaesthesia. The first stage involves thorough cleansing of the skin, after which the specialist protects the patient’s eyes with special protective goggles. The next stage is setting the appropriate parameters and carrying out the treatment in the designated area.
Adding a chemical peel to the acne treatment protocol will increase the effectiveness of the procedure and reduce the number of laser treatment sessions needed.
The duration of the procedure is between 30 and 40 minutes.
How many procedures are needed?
Mild redness and swelling may occur for 1-2 days, but no special recovery period is required. Depending on the severity of the acne lesions, 3-6 laser treatment sessions every 7 days are recommended. Laser treatment can be combined with a chemical peel during a single session. It is advisable to undergo 3-4 combined treatment sessions at 4-week intervals. This is the ideal choice for patients expecting immediate, visible results.
