FOTONA DYNAMIS NX
Laser treatment of onychomycosis is a procedure that opens up new therapeutic options for people struggling with fungal infections of the nails of the hands and feet. The patented VSP Nd:YAG technology of the FOTONA laser penetrates the nail plate and thermally destroys the fungus located under its surface, without damaging the surrounding tissues. Unlike topical medications that focus only on minimizing fungal infections, laser therapy activates regenerative processes that have a beneficial effect on the nails, making them healthier and more resistant to damage. Unlike oral medications that affect the entire body, laser therapy does not cause unwanted effects and its results have been confirmed by clinical studies.
How is the procedure performed?
Before the treatment procedure, it is necessary to prepare the nail plate, i.e. to file off the outer, thickened layer. The procedure involves using a laser beam to perform circular movements over the entire nail plate and surrounding tissues. The laser energy is deposited evenly over the entire surface of the nail plate. During the procedure, the nail plate feels slightly warm.
The duration of the procedure is between 10 and 20 minutes.
How many procedures are needed?
The entire treatment procedure consists of 4 sessions every 7-28 days. To maintain the effect, it is recommended to repeat a series of 4 treatment procedures after a few months.
