    Recommendations for the treatment

    • Stop waxing, epilating, and plucking at least 4–6 weeks before the procedure — the laser targets the hair root, which must remain intact and pigmented in the treatment area
    • Shave the area smoothly 12–24 hours before the procedure with a clean razor and gentle gel — this allows the laser beam to reach the hair follicle directly without scattering on the skin surface
    • Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 2 weeks before the session — darker skin absorbs laser energy differently and increases the risk of unwanted reactions
    • On the day of the procedure, the area must be completely clean — no deodorant, makeup, lotions, oils, or sunscreen, as these products prevent the laser from reaching the follicle
    • Inform your specialist about any medications, hormonal changes, or skin conditions — photosensitising medications (antibiotics, antidepressants, etc.) require additional assessment before the procedure
    Requirements

    • Slight redness and sensitivity in the treated area immediately after the procedure are completely normal — the sensation is similar to a very mild sunburn and usually subsides within 24 to 48 hours
    • Apply SPF 50+ sunscreen to all treated areas exposed to light — this is mandatory regardless of the season, as skin after a laser procedure is significantly more photosensitive
    • Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, hot baths, sauna, and intense physical activity for at least 48 hours after the session — elevated temperature can intensify redness and irritation of the treated area
    • 4–5 days after the procedure, apply a gentle exfoliant to the area — this accelerates the natural shedding of hairs and prevents ingrown hairs without irritating the skin
    • Between sessions, shaving is the only permitted hair removal method — waxing, epilating, and plucking destroy the follicle that the laser needs to target at the next procedure
    Additional information

    • Maintain regular session intervals — the optimal gap between procedures is 6–8 weeks for body areas and 4–5 weeks for the face, aligned with the natural hair growth cycle. Missed or rescheduled appointments directly compromise the final result
    • Complete the full course of procedures — after 6 sessions, up to 90% permanent hair reduction is achieved, and interrupting the course midway means a significant number of follicles remain active and untreated
    • Moisturise your skin regularly between sessions — well-softened and elastic skin responds better to the laser impulse and reduces the risk of redness and irritation during the next procedure
    • Avoid active sun exposure and always apply SPF 50+ to treated areas year-round — the melanin in the skin competes with the melanin in the hair for laser energy absorption, which at a tan reduces effectiveness and increases risk
    • Schedule 1–2 maintenance procedures per year after completing the course — hormonal changes and the body’s natural cycle can activate new follicles over time, and timely maintenance guarantees long-term smooth skin
