    Requirements before the treatment

    • No active tan / tanning beds – 2–4 weeks

    • No retinoids, peels, or AHA/BHA – 5–7 days

    • The skin should be clean → no makeup / creams / oils

    • Informed consent

    • With a history of cold sores – prophylaxis at the doctor’s discretion

    No anaesthesia is required.
    The sensation is one of pleasant warmth / mild tingling.

    • Active infection (herpes, bacterial, fungal)

    • Open wounds

    • Undiagnosed skin lesions

    Relative

    • Tendency to keloids

    • Active tan or sunburn

    Additional information

    After the treatment

    Possible reactions:

    • mild redness (up to a few hours)

    • mild warmth

    • minimal swelling (rare)

    Patients can usually return to their activities immediately.

    Follow-up care

    First 24–48 hours:

    ✅ Gentle cleansing (no aggressive products)
    ✅ A nourishing, barrier-repairing cream
    ✅ Avoid hot baths, sauna, and intense sport for the first 24 h

    ⚠ Avoid:

    • Aggressive cosmetics (retinoids, acids, vitamin C, benzoyl peroxide) → 3–5 days

    • Exfoliation → 5–7 days

    • SPF 50+ daily for at least 4–6 weeks

    Makeup
